eSIM-Compatible Devices

Please note: Compatibility is not determined by mamaSIM, compatibility is only set by the device manufacturer, or in some cases, by the local carrier of the country in which you bought your phone (typically, if you have a contract with a carrier that finances your phone, your device would be locked and cannot use eSIM).

Here are the known compatible devices with the popular iOS and Android device brands.

iPhone

Important:
your phone or device must also be carrier-unlocked to use eSIM.Check if your
device is one of the following (not from Mainland China) :

  • On iPhone 14 series and newer models, you can have two eSIMs activated at the same time.
  • iPhones from mainland China and iPhone devices from Hong Kong and Macao (except for iPhone 13 mini, iPhone 12 mini, iPhone SE 2020, and iPhone XS) don’t have eSIM capability.

  • The Oppo Find X5 Lite is not compatible with eSIM.

Instructions

  1. Go to Settings > SIM card and Mobile/Cellular Data.
  2. Select eSIM.
  3. Accept the terms and continue.
  4. Select Add eSIM.
  5. Follow the instructions on the screen until you get the option to scan QR code.
  6. Scan the QR code that your operator gave you.
  7.  Wait for the installation to be completed.

Huawei

Important: Your phone or device must also be carrier-unlocked in order to use eSIM.Check if your device is one of the following:

Huawei P40

Huawei P40 Pro

Huawei Mate 40 Pro

  • The Huawei P40 Pro+ and P50 Pro are not compatible with eSIM.

Instructions

  1. Go to Settings> Mobile network> SIM management. Even if your device only supports one physical SIM card, SIM 1 and SIM 2 options are displayed. The eSIM card is installed in the SIM 2 slot by default.
  2. Go to SIM 2 > Add eSIM to scan the QR code received from your network carrier.

Xiaomi

Important: Your phone or device must also be carrier-unlocked in order to use eSIM.Check if your device is one of the following:

Xiaomi 12T Pro.

Xiaomi 13.

Xiaomi 13 Lite.

Xiaomi 13 Pro.

Instructions

  1. Go into Settings.
  2. Go into "SIM cards & mobile networks"
  3. Scroll down until you see the option "Manage eSIM" and click on it.
  4. Tap "Add mobile plan"

Motorola

Important: Your phone or device must also be carrier-unlocked in order to use eSIM.Check if your device is one of the following:

 Motorola Razr 2019

Motorola Razr 5G

Instructions

  1. Go into Settings.
  2. Click on "Network & Internet".
  3. Click on "Mobile Network".
  4. Click the drop-down menu named "Advanced".
  5. Click on "Carrier" and Tap "Add carrier" and go next

Scan the "QR Code" given through your eSIMs bundles account.

Other Phones

There are more and more eSIM phones in the marketplace, simply making sure your phone or device is carrier-unlocked in order to use eSIM.Check if your device is one of the following, and go to Setting and set in “Cellular” section to find a place to add an eSIM:

Some cellular versions of iPad, Laptop and Notebook also supports eSIM,

  1. Go into Settings.
  2. Tap into “Cellular Data” or “Network & internet"
  3. Add a new plan
  4. Select "eSIM" as the connection type.
  5. Enter the necessary information for your eSIM, such as the activation code, IMEI number, and other details, depending on the carrier you are using.

Scan the "QR Code" given through your eSIMs bundles account.

6. Follow the prompts to complete the setup process and activate your eSIM plan.
